| About Us |
L.A.S. Outdoors (Leith Army Stores) was opened in 1945 to sell off the army surplus from World War One. Within a few years the business diverged into outdoor and adventure equipment. Because of its unique character, the shop always interested people from different walks of life, and from around the world while on their travels, especially with its history, the common phrase being "my father used to bring me here...now I'm brining my children to the shop" . As a valued customer you can always rely on the friendly staff to give you expert advice on whatever your outdoor needs. If they don't stock the item you are looking for they will do their best to find it for you. Over the years the shop has been known for army surplus, hence the name Leith Army Stores, for which it is known worldwide, but the past 15 years the business has been transformed into one of the largest independent retailers for outdoor equipment, military goods and army surplus in the country and now with the internet they are servicing new and existing customers worldwide. To reflect this change in image, as from January 2006, the shop will now be known as L.A.S. Outdoors . Our products range from camping, adventure, clothing, survival, military and army surplus with brands such as Highlander, Vango, Snugpak, Leatherman, Regatta, Weird Fish, Maglite and Webtex, to name but a few. |
